Finally bought myself another Betta.
He was too gorgeous to leave there 
I was stuck between two
the other was more orange and had blue spotting
while this is the one i went for

 
 

 
 
His first day with me (or should i say first few hours being in his new home)
 
I have him in the breeder trap for now, as the others were taking to nipping at his fins too much.
so i just gave him a break from that, but the other fish can also get use to him being there too now 
 
I can wait to see him grow big n_n
He makes me want a whole gang of pretty little males
 
They did have some nice white females with red finage

 
some of you might remember Aro, he should be in my icon picture.

Okays do you think he might yet turn blue or will he be marbled...
Im curious as to how he grows up
I'll post here a photo maybe once a week of him
just so everyone can follow his changes

That'd be my dream. A room of tanks with Male Bettas in each !

I'd have a nice huge tank too in the living room 
get some discus or maybe a shark
 
They can change, since hes still young he might yet change colour or get more on him  
Hes got blue and a little spot of orange on his tail. 
But he might just stay as is, its all just a game of waiting really

Interesting markings, if you think he has the marble gene then you should see some changes occurring so your weekly pictures will show this happening.  One of my girls has the marble gene and she is very pretty and often different colours appear.  Are you planning to get any Betta girls, I like the sound of "nice white females with red finage"?

I'm hoping he does I love the marbles.
But I'll be just as happy if he stays as is 
 
I wish i could, if i could have another tank I'd set up an all female sorority 
cause those white females were just so pretty n_n
made me want to try my hand at breeding him with them, thats is they took that is

He is gorgeous!!  He is more of a grizzle rather than a marble but there is always the possibility of him changing color.  The color he will more than likely change to is a very nice blue.  
 
Are you planning on him to stay in the community tank?  I would not advise it since they are already showing that they want to nip his fins so much.   I also don't think your tankmates in that tank are appropriate for a betta, since the tetras tend to nip fins.  Especially since the ember tetras are in too small a school so will pick at the betta more than if they were in a bigger tank.  The killifish are also nippers which a lot of people don't realize.   If it were me, I would stick him in the 54 liter or even the 25 liter(as long as he is alone in that smaller tank).  That will keep his finnage beautiful and intact and leave him unstressed by other fish.

Awesome I dont mind what he turns out to be. But i would hope he keeps the pinkish colouring

Yeah, I'll have to see about that.
The ember tetra are going to be restocked, waiting for my LFS to get their order in so i can add about another 5 of them 
They actually dont nip at all, its the killi im having issues with hes quite the meanie.
My embers were in the 25lt with another betta i had, they never destroyed his fins

Update: So he's now in a divided part of my tank all on his own
but i woke up this morning to RATTY fin-age
now im angry. I'll post a picture soon
and he hasn't changed in colour at all
though i've noticed he's got a pink/blue metallic sheen to him

Why have I not seen this thread? He is stunning! That's a shame about his fins what happened? Did it happen before you separated him? Have the others nipped him?

Lovely betta - I was advised when mine started to fin nip, to put something bright and colourful near his tank and change on a daily basis, alongside keeping up with regular water changes with warmer water.

Well i found more fish like this too
so i did do a water change and 2 days later treated them all for fin rot
since others were showing signs of it
 
will do a water change again tomorrow
and maybe hopefully get him in his own tank soon n_n
 
Cause i just can't stop falling i love with these fish and am now getting females.
i have a picture of the white female with red fins n_n
i have her on reserve until theres more little girlies for me to take all at once
