has anybody used this product? my plec still has a touch of finrot from where he was in a tank with inadequate filtration. have ordered some of this to treat him with. has anybody used it and is it any good

Finrot is mainly caused by bad water quality.
Myxazin by waterlife a great med for finrot.
Disease Clear is a broad spectrum treatment that controls harmful external bacterial infections in aquariums & prevents secondary infection of damaged tissues
Disease Clear stops damaged fins from becoming infected & prevents Fin Rot
Aids quick regeneration of damaged tissues

the bad water was other tank , it had a crappy ugf which wasnt up to the task. have since put him in new tank where water is spot on and tested regularly . just want to help speed up his healing

Don't always need meds just good water quality.
If you think the fins are infected add the med.
Signs of infection are.
Red streak running through the fins.
Red eding to tail, or white edging to tail.
Fins look translucent and cloudy
Fins falling apart.

theres no redness but is a piece "missing" from his dorsal fin

Ok it up to you if you use the med but sometimes all you need is just good water quality.

Only if fish are stressed as the immune system is weak.

Hi Mark, like Wilder suggests i would be inclined not to use meds but to keep the water good, my plec always has a bit missing from where jambo gets a grip of him, and ive never treated him with anything, just kept the water good, he has suffered no ill effects at all, i would of course treat him if i thought he needed it
