Here's the story

I treated a tank full of minnows, chubs, the kind you get from a bait store for fishing, with coppersafe.

The minnows, were leftovers from a fishing trip, I didnt want to throw mine in the fire like everyone else did (never release minnows for fishing into the lake at the end of a trip) so I took them home and put 'em in a tank intending to use them as feed for my african clawed frog and my electric blue crayfish.

The problem:

Coppersafe is harmful to frogs and crayfish, but is it when it may be in the bloodstream and or fleah of a food item?

If so, is there something I can do?

Or should I simply forget about it and dipose of the minnows properly.

Dispose of the minnows properly, as if you add them to the main tank they could be fetching all sorts of things into the tank, like parasites and desease.

HAHA.
Thats why I medicated them with coppersafe in the first place. :p

To kill off any parasites and or desease.

The minnows look to be in excellent health actually.

Anyways, I may still dispose them, but that still doesnt answer my "original" question.

Does coppersafe enter the bloodstream and/or flesh of the fish making it dangerous to eat for other animals?
Maybe I should call the manufactuer to get a clear answer.
:dunno:

When you have used antibiotics on fish you should wait a while before you let them breed to get rid of the antibiotics out of there system, i wouldn't feed the fish to the fish for a least two weeks to be sure the med is out of there system, phone manufacturers that a good idea.

Yea, thats along the lines of what I was thinking.
But not sure, so I'll call Mardel and ask them.
This will be the second time I've called them about they're product. :D
