Media Help

Tomorrow I am going to go buy an XP2. I am going to be running a planted tank with pressurized co2. What types of media should i run in the filter? I heard that carbon should not be used because of the co2. Thanks.

Im not sure on CO2 and carbon filters, but if you are going to be dosing ferts as well you dont want carbon. It will suck it up.

use the spray bar aswell - less surface agitation

i got it today. i set the spray bar up aiming from the back top diagonally down towards the front of the tank. there doesnt appear to be much surface movement. but lots of current. i dont think it came with carbon filters. came with Bio-zorb, 4 black scour pad looking media, and one white pad. they were already arranged for me. is this good stuff to use, or should i get different media?
