Hi all
I can't beleave it my lfs sold me p. tanunstius under the name kribs
i found this out via reading PFK's "Ask the experts"(it was in the issue with the
lion fish on the cover)

Can u guys gave my some info on this cool fish

Sorry, but I can find no info for P. tanunstius. Perhaps you mean P. taeniatus instead? Spelling the scientific names is rather important in order to find useful information.

If it is taeniatus you have, then there's info on them here, here and here. I hope I'll find some one day, they seem like cool fish.

they are very closely related , very similar in looks and behavior to P. pulcher, and at times very hard , nearly impossible to find .[ IME , once for me about 8 years ago ]

Yeah i do.........


This is a pic that looks like my male but is less colourful

And the female is like this but my one has more spots on the dorsal fin

But they have paired up

would this be hybirdistion?

I have heard of different species of kribs breeding but I think the offspring are generally not supposed to look as good as the parents.
