Mce300

hi iam setting up a marine tank. and the bloke in shop has advised me to get the mce300 skimmer.
i have a orca450 at the min and iam upgrading to jewel 125 litre.
although i have heard bad reviews about this skimmer wat should i do.
any sugestions cheers.

I have an MCE300 which works perfectly??

Throughput is fine, can do wet or dry skimming and pulls out loads of the brown mucky stuff, what bad things have you heard?

just that it put loads of bubbles back into tank. and its a bit noisy.
iambit straped for cash so having to wait b4 purchase. its killing me coz really want to set it up.

It is a little noisy but no different to others I have heard in shops etc. As for bubbles, I cannot really comment on, mine is positioned above the Juwel internal filter. I would think that if you position the splash guard and venturi correctly then it should be fine?

if you dont like noise, go with a tunze.

I have an mce300 and it is silent and thats no joke it makes absolutely no noise at all and does not put any bubble back in the tank.
