Hello everyone,

Ive been reading a lot and looking into maybe having a Mbuna tank in the future, I think they're stunning fish.

My issue is my water comes out of the tap at 6.4-6.6 ph and quite soft. Ive read about using products, and also heard using limestone could help raise ph... But are there any ways of overcoming my ph with it being so low? What I mean by this is - is using the methods known of raising ph viable long term?

Many thanks

limestone, ocean rock, coral sand will not raise PH it will only buffer it so it does not crash :)

a stable PH is better than any fluctuations in PH
