I took the big limestone holey rock I kept in their tank to put a taller, less larger one in but while im currently in the bleaching/water soaking stage with the new rock it has created some stress for the fish in the 42g hex who want their rock back.

The big mean mbuna is now all of a sudden having his stripes turn really black and he is all of a sudden taken over the tank from my dominant yellow lab who has always run the tank. The mbuna is attacking the yellow lab now and the lab's yellow is starting to fade. I fear the worst and am trying to add the new rock asap once it finishes soaking in water to remove bleach.

Probably as you have taken away a territory, they are now trying to rearrange territories and will compete for them.

yea i dunno why the yellow lab is not fighting back like he usually does
