What is the minimum tank size? I see everywhere from 15 - 75 gallons recommended but would a 10 gallon work?

IMO
only reason for a 10gallon tank is for a quarentine tank.
small tanks are harder to maintain.

but perhaps if you were to have only one with a fine sand substrate and some rock work. anything more (one pair) and I'd recomend nothing smaller then a 20 long.
good luck!

So a 10 gallon with just one would work? I wanted shell dwellers buut this would work. My LFS lady ordered them for me so I hate not to take them, she ordered three and she's given me a good price, I think.

Would having just one be OK?

So I need substrate and Rocks?

Since these are rock dwellers and not shell dwellers do they need anything special?

Having just one in a ten gallon would work but it wouldnt be ideal. They need fine sand and alot of rock work to hide in. Go to different sites and do some research on this fish and you'll see everything that they need to be happy.
