Hi guys

A quick question if I may.

I have just upgraded marine tank which has allowed me to upgrade the tropical into the old marine (Juwel Record 96ltr). The lighting in the new tropical tank was obviously setup for marine with 2 marine whites and 1 actinic blue.

I've taken one of the marine white's out as I thought it was too bright, but will I need to swap the other marine white out for a tropical?

Sounds a silly question until you consider there must be a difference between the marine and tropical lights or they wouldn't sell them.

The tropical is partially planted which I guess is where the difference is most apparent.

the marine tubes should be fine. if you want good plant growth, then i would swap them for a freshwater plant bulb but you should be fine with the marine whites for now.

While I'm on the subject which do you recommend and why:

Aqua-glo
Power-glo
Trident

Tank is 81x46x36cm (BxHxT)

Thanks

Ian

I have never used any of those bulbs. do you mean triton? I use tritons over some of my tanks and plants do quite well. some one else may have used them and may know beter :)
