Marine Tank Picture Diary

Thanks Sarah :)

The reserve tank has been running for about 2 weeks longer than the main tank, I was initially going to use it for Live Rock cultivation.

That tank and fish/corals is looking awesome  makes me want a marine set-up. Just keep those updates coming coz we're lovin' it!!!!

All I'm going to say on this is that the tank and the fish LOOK great!
I can understand all the stress of cycling and trying to do the best for livestock but people need to just chill out a little bit otherwise this could turn a bit mean and nasty and I don't believe this is what this site is about.
Friendly advice great, excellent, wonderful and although it is easy to be defensive against one another....lets try and stay calm, peaceful and just chill out a bit. Fish are so peaceful (most of the time) and they should help to chill us out too. Everyone sit back and realise what this is all about and "just keep swimming, don't stop swimming"!!!
Good luck and please keep us up to date as to what is going on with your tnak.

Ok im a total newb to the site. but i just wanted to say i dont tihnk the people are trying to be mean or nasty they are just trying to point out a very useful fact. uncycled tanks generally dont start as succefully as cycled ones. I think they are jsut trying to help him/her out, By putting the livestocks welfare first and also trying to help him/her out in terms of money and unneeded stress.
My dad used to have a marine set-up, and being impatient he decided to introduce livestock before the tank had cycled. (bad decision, they didnt last long):(

Hi Siamese Fighter05, welcome to the site :)

The fact of the matter is, unfortunately there are a few people on these forums who jump the gun, and seem to intent on putting people down rather than actually helping. Don't get me wrong, most of the members are extremely helpful and friendly.
