Maracyn?

I've hear this come up all through my fishkeeping but it seems to be just a US thing, now i know its a wide range Anitbiotic but what do we have here in the UK as an equivilant? The only broad spectrum Anti.B' i can fint is Tetramycin (sp) which i can only get if the Vet says i need it, which i don't and fingers crossed never will, but its handy to have just incase esp as Columnaris seems to be on the rise in areas of the UK.

So after that ramble does any one know of any thing?

maracyn is erythromiacin
maracyn tc is tetracycline, is that the same as tetramiacin?

also just getting yourself some tetracycline from the states would be another alternative!
