The males will have a gonopodium, that is a thin elongated anal fin that looks like a pin rather then the triangular fan shaped fin of a female. If the fish are juveniles they may all have the triangular fin that can collapse together to form them males reproductive organ as they age and do a sex determination. This usually happens when the juvies are about 75% full grown but may happen at a later stage depending on the individual. This is the case in all of the common livebearers.
