Male Or Female Blue Ram

Personally I think it's female too.

Here is a definite female blue ram for comparison...

Bear in mind these are adults as opposed to young/sub adults. But the pink round tummy makes me think it just couldn't be a developing male.

Then we clearly aren't looking at the same pictures...

Dorsal spikes aren't long (can be characteristic of a young male)
Rounded anal and dorsal fin (can be characteristic of a young male)
Pink rounded tummy - Female only trait
Also a blunt + wide, rather than thin and pointy vent

I'd put large volumes of money on it being female. Seriously...

Even though there are a couple of 'young male' characteristics, there are enough strong female pointers.

Clearly not. Posts#4 and #5 have the fish without a rounded belly in the slightest. Which makes 3 probably male traits to a single probably female trait..

And the fish is clearly young as that cockatoo cichlid dwarfs it!

It would be good if there was a pic against a light background as carlovel1 has mentioned, as I can't quite make out the pelvic fin colouration...if there is a solid black colouring (not blotchy) it's a female (see differences in pics above)...also the blue spotting on the black spot and the fact the spot isn't solid black either suggest female, now it isn't as full on like the pics Curiosity101 provided so maybe it is just too early to tell yet...
