I have 6 male and 5 female guppies. I've got a male guppy constantly chasing one of the mollys. It is always the same one that he chases.

Is this normal or is this male feeling a bit lonely becuse of the 5/6 ratio so he picks on another breed?

Is it possible for them to mate and if so what could happen?

I do not believe it is possible for the guppy to mate with the molly unless you did it under laboratory hybridisation procedures and actually extracted and inserted the sperm. They are just too genetically different. I reckon he'll just harrass her but she should be about double his size and be able to take it :)

Incedently the recommend male to female guppy rate is 1:2 or 1:3 . This could explain why he is feeling frisky! All the best and let us know how you get on! :)
