Male Flare Question?

I have a super red Male very nice fish. When he flare he used to put boths blades from under dead out today i come back from work and put him to flare with another male and i saw he just put one out any ideas what wrong with him??/ He look so happy and healty

yes gill plates.. where i used to leave the call it blades Cuba.. please let me know why he is putting only one outStart happening today

I really don't know why a betta would only flare out one gill plate. Perhaps an internal parasite? Does he look bloated or unhealthy in any other way?

No he look beatyful healthy happy he flare even to me and my finger he is super active and he always hungry jajaj but really don't know what he have on one of his plates

Hmmm maybe he is deformed? Some of my bettas were kidna queer when they flared one of their ventrals would shake and vibrate and the other one just stayed still

Don't flare him for 3 days and try it again.
