Male Betta Trying To Frighten You Off

Hi

I posted a thread recently about conditioning bettas i was adviced to keep the bettas apart from each other but to let the male see the female

Anyway my male instantly started to wiggle left and right and flaring his fins
The saw me watching him cortship and followed me around his tank displaying but no wiggleing
Just gills out and flared fins

Has any one elses betta done this it kinda made me laugh

Hahaha mine does that too! I go by his tank and he flares his gills out. Too funny!

Mine gets even more aggressive if he has built a bubble nest haha

My betta flirts with me. He does the little display dance that he would do for a female, flaring out and wiggling. I think he dances for food lol I giggle everytime.

mine tries to swim toward me, he is like fighting the glass when i come up to his tank

Now i moved the female away hes back to his normal self happy and not flaring lol its like a swtich i got near him when he can see a female through his tank he gets defensive lol move her tank away hes all loving ( as loving a a fish can get) hes started to build a bubble nest after 2days of being in his conditioning tank

My betta has only flared once, but it was the cutest thing. I think I startled him when I turned on the light in the morning and he was still sleeping. He whirled around and PUFFED up like "seriously? 5 more minutes, mom!"

I've had a few Bettas that will flare like that at me because they were very territorial and were warning me off.

I've also had a few that were very friendly but sometimes when I got up close looking at them eye to eye they would flare at me. Turns out they were seeing thier reflection in my eyeglasses. LOL!

My bettas nip at my finger if i put it in the water. I have other fish that will eat out of my hand.

My guppies think they are garra rufa fish. They even do that when I put the syphon in, keep nibbling at my arms. Then I pour the water slowly, but at one spot to create bubbles and all of them run in to take a shower

mine too. It is so cute, but instead of nipping he attacks my finger, one time he even jumped out of his tank trying to bite my finger
