Malaysian Trumpet Snails

i was thinking of getting some for my tank but would my fish eat them
 
firemouth cichlid  x1
 
red eye tetra x12

red eye tetra's wont eat snails. I don't know about the firemouths, but so long as the firemouths are small they wont be able to crush the MTS.
