Malaysian Trumpet Snails?

....by my Polka Dot Loach when I finally add them to my tank?

I don't mind if they keep the snail population in check but I don't want them wiped out!

Anyone know the answer?

Probably not.
Botia Kubotai are similar to botia striata and will pick off common pest snails no probs. If they are hungry they might pick off some smaller MTS but apparently the MTS are difficult to remove from their shells and so are largely left alone.

They breed fast, so no, I removed 50 and next day was 50 more

MTS have pretty hard shells so it's doubtful they'll get eaten.
