Making Money

I've noticed some fish go for a fair bit of money and maybeeven some plants (en masse) can sell for at least a little bit of dough.

Does anyone on here keep a certain type of fish or plant to give even a slight income by selling them?

If so what do you go for? Don't worry I haven't the time/inclination to do this myself but its interesting to see what started people off.

Do you sell stuff to pay for the hobby or actually make some money?

well recently i have made a bit of pocket money from my dwarf snakehead babie's, also i sold on my oscar's and some other large cichlid's which netted me a tidy sum, but it was sometime i had not actually planned to do, put it this way the monie's has paid for the filter/food/tank etc so as you say it's paying for it's self,

If you want to make money from a very simple and easy setup then I reccomend you look into getting some high grade Crystal red shrimp. The high grade specimens sell for quite a lot of money and cull or sell on the lower grade ones, with selective breeding you gain very wide banded white shrimp with very slight red lines and these are the most expensive. CRS tanks are easy to setup although they do need to be mature and they are easy to breed.
