I just bought a used rat cage from a friend of mine. It's 3 stories tall, and comes up to my waist. It's great, but the only problem is that it's plain, uncoated metal wire. I have heard that cages like this are very unsafe for rats, and that they should be coated with a plastic-like sealant. I think that's called galvenized wire? I could be wrong.

Since this wire isn't like that, I was wondering if there is some way I can coat it. Do they sell stuff like that in buckets, or spray cans, or can you take it somewhere to have it coated?
