Make My Tank Pretty!

i have a nice barrel that Sobek used to like swimming through, in one of the pics u will see it :)

i do like that i iwll have a look for something similar, thanks

does anyone else have any tank pics they can show?

i sure hope so!

what sort of ornaments can anyone suggest for the tank - ones that enable the betta to swim through without injury and dont take up too much of his space?

livingston loves his log the most he is always in and out of it and i checked it out carefully to make sure he nor his tail could get caught in it.

this is his log

wow these tanks are all so nice.

how do you keep the sand clean? i siphon my gravel tanks but when i tryed siphoning the sand tank i took more tank then water i think.

please keep the tank pictures coming - im loving the use of bright colours i think a background would probably help.

I'm revamping my betta tanks soon as possible (more live plants) so I'll post pics then... it all depends on the colour of your bettas really. I'm using some tanks with light gravel and some with dark depending on their colour. I might shift Moonshine into my 6 gal with my platies because you can't see him against the dark gravel and wood. He's dark iron silver.

I'm not sure what Opal is. He looks like he has some crowntail in him but I don't think he's full CT. He might be a combtail, or a crowntail/delta cross.

I use the glas spebbles on the base of my tanks. I use colours to highlight the bettas. So with yours I would use mostly pale pinks with just one or two dark blue say!

Aweome tanks everyone :good:

I used black gravel in my 5 gal divided with Jerry and Delilah, but Jerry passed away the other day and now Delilah is in her own 4 US gal. I used sand cause for her tank just for a change and also, since my betta tanks have no special lighting, the black gravel made them look sooo dark.

Here's the old divided tank:

Here's Delilah's new tank, she seems to like it. I think she appreciates more plants, she loves swimming in them :)

Edited to fix photos

I think Opal is a delta
As for cleaning sand, I swish a net back and forwards the debris floats up to be netted and the sand stays put, unless you are doing a water change the obviously a net won't help you with that :fun:
