im thinking about turning one of my tanks into a brakish water tank. the other day i bought a crab and it was labeled as a fresh water crab so i just bought a couple. then after researching i discouverd the red claw crab requires air space and prefers brakish water. so i took some water out of the 10 gal and put some drift wood leading up to the top. it looks nice,

but for the well being of the crabs im thinking about making it also a brakish water tank.

but the biggest problem is that i have neon tetras and hengeli rasbora and a betta in that tank.

those fish wouldn't tolorate salt would they?

any advice on what to do? my other tanks are kinda full so moving those fish over is kinda out of the question. but i do like my fish in there so i dont really wanna give them back to hte store.

anyone know if i can put just a little bit of salt and the fresh water fish i have in there would be ok?

would my crabs be ok in just fresh water? @@

Hi

I would also think that a crab go after your fish if you are unlucky. I thought you should have a separate tank for crabs. I used to have a Malawi Crab, I know it’s not the same then the ones you have got but I had to keep mine in a separate tank.
