Hi

I got 2 large pieces of bogwood about 2 weeks ago, however, they are developing a furry white layer on the surface. How would i go about cleaning them? they are quite splintered and i'm afraid if i use a cleaning pad, it will start to fall apart :good:

thanks in advance

Do you currently have fish in this tank? I got quite alot of furryness on my wood when I was cycling, but it disappeared once I put fish in.

Most shrimp will happily chomp on this, it's just a fungal growth that will vanish once the excess nutrients in the wood are used up.

will angel fish not eat the shrimp though?
I've got a shrimp in my roma 125 and so far there getting along OK, but there are vast amounts of concaves situated in the wood for the shrimp to retire to should he feel threatned

Have sigs disabled so didnt see his stocking. If shrimp are a no go then I think otos will probably eat this too.
