can lucky bamboo survive completely submerged? and will it harm aquatic life

Lucky bamboo is not actually a bamboo nor is it aquatic (despite being sold as aquatic sometimes).
I have heard of people growing it in ponds, but it defiantly needs its leaves out of the water or it will rot fast.
They actually do best with only ~3 inches of the plants submerged.
It is also poisonous to us, cats and dogs. No idea about fish though, it should be ok.

You can but fake bamboo in shops, its basically a tube of wood with a holegoing down the middle, actually you could make it yourself if ya got the right wood and can be botherd, hehe
