A few days ago, I came across a red CT betta being kept amongst male guppies. At the time, I was shocked, but after more reading and research, I see that some bettas make good additions to community aquariums. After reading a forum member's own experience with keeping her betta with guppies, I decided to give it a go. It's been a couple of hours and he's settling in nicely, exploring the tank and observing his new tankmates. He's hardly the pure white HM I had intended to get, but here he is.
I've named him "Luck," and I do have a spare 5 gallon up and running just in case there are any problems. I don't anticipate any, though, he seems like an absolute doll

He is lovely and hope it works well with them being together. On my own experience it never worked out. I had a male plakat which was bought as a female, lived happily with my male guppy for a few month until he started to attack him, ripped my guppies tail apart :( he is healing though :)
Best of luck

 Hearing things like that frightens me! I'm really hoping for the best. Of all of my bettas, he is definitely the most relaxed. *fingers crossed*

Luck looks like a lovely boy, and I hope he keeps minding his own business around the tank. As he was already in with guppies and more than likely more or less accustomed to their maddness I think he will settle in well with your other tank mates.

We made it through the night with no problems, but don't think I didn't wake up half a dozen times to dash to the fish tank just to check on them all! He even came to the top for food with the rest of his tankmates and he seems to be very happy and active. I haven't noticed any chasing, lunging, nipping, etc. If anything, I'm sure he's relieved to be with only three guppies, rather than fifty

He looks lovely! I hope that everything continues to go well for you and that he keeps behaving himself! :)

He is very stunning  It does depend on the fish, some have real nasty attitudes. I have guppies and bettas together. There is one bossy female in my tank that can get a bit cranky. She doesn't like anyone touching her share of the food. But I found the females are the worst when it comes to harassing tank mates.
Bev.
