my ph is 8+ in both my fry and big tanks. how could i lower it safely. i tryed chemicals but they didnt work. i cant get bogwood so what else is there? i once hered shells and lava rock lower ph but not sure. any suggestions. my tap water ph is 7.8

looked at that link and not much i can do but try and find someone to ship me bogwood cheap.

Peat moss has the same effect as bog or driftwood. Start with a little bit in an old clean sock, a little can do a lot.

CO2 injection maybe, depends on your kH though. My kH is very high (London Water) so I've had to pump in high amounts of CO2 to achieve a lower pH

Sustaining 30ppm Co2 in your tank would lower the pH to around 7, but if its a big tank it could prove expensive to get the kit.
