* Dwarf sag, root feeder, good foreground plant that spreads fast and flowers.
* Valisneria, root feeder, works well in the background.
* Anubias coffeefolia, adds a nice variation when added to a stand of A. nana.
* java moss.
* Crinum thaianum, heavy root feeder, works well in the background if you have a tall tank.
* Java fern, there are a number of varieties, try one that you don't currently have.
* Cryptocoryne wendtii, root feeder, this plant is somewhat variable, comes in different colors and heights.
* Hornwort.

Note that none of these plants require added CO2, excessive lighting or constant liquid fertilization. The root feeders on the list will all do well with the addition of root tabs from AP or Seachem.

What I use for filters are Powerheads with sponges attatched to them. These seem to create some surface disterbance and moves the water around the plants themselves. The key to a planted tank (other than lighting and the plants themselves) is HOW to use the plants as THE filter with a little powerhead as back up. Heavily plant your tank add a powerhead with sponge and adequet lighting and you should be good to go. That's what I have on all my planted tanks. Rose
