Lost Balloon Ram Help Please

hi, in my 72l tank one of my balloon rams has vanished, literaly. Ph. 7.6 ammonia 0 nitrate 0 nitrite 0 tank mates are 1 other balloon ram 3, leopoldi angels, 4 platy, one swordtail, 5 golden pencil fish and a 3inch bristle nose catfish. I had a flying fox, had to rehome him last night. Have removed all ornaments even tried looking in the hollow one but el gato was not pleased with me. Look down back of tank, on ledges and even in filter. There is no body. Where could he be?

I have had this happen 2 times no I had it happen a few times over the years. Most of the time I found them on the ground. Or my dog found them. Once my daughter 1 yr at the time picked a dry fish up and gave it to me because I did not find it first.

Then I had a pictus cat go missing did not find him till I took the tank down then I found him dry. And my Pleco was the strangest one even after breaking down the tank and moving it I still never found the body. She went missing I looked all over. Took everything out of the tank she was no where. My tank was fine all other fish were fine. It was weird.

Do you have a dog or cat? I think my dog might be the one to blame. But then again over fish eat fish. Sorry for your lose he might turn up in an unexpected place. My tetra that jumped out to avoid being a snack always made some good distance so took a bit farther from the tank.

sorry took so long to reply. No, no dog or cat, i've given up to be honest, think he's died and been nomd up. Thinks for replying thou, glad to know i.m not alone
