Lost A Fish!

i have been moving my 4 dwarf puffers and 4 ottos into a different tank and i have lost a puffer!

they have been in one tank for about 3 weeks and i have had them for about 6 months. tonight i was moving them over and i knew this morning there was 4. but when i was catching them i could only find 3.

its deffiently not in the tank, its not dead, it not anywhere around the tank, its not it the net i used. its really annoying me as i cant find it and i hope its not out of water somewhere. the tanks are only 60l so its not too hard to loose them (i have taken everything out of the tanks)

any ideas?

Similar situation with me the other day. I decided that the missing fish had been eaten by my Pleco & maybe the other fish had a nibble.

If you have a pleco, maybe it ate it? or maybe the other fish did? But there is a possibility the fish dug itself into the substrate or if you have small rocks fell in between them, thats not been unheard of in the past!

If not in the tank it must be out of the tank, is there any gaps for it to jump out? I found one of my Shrimps on the floor once where he escaped, luckily he was still moving and survived.

still cant find it, i have stirred the sand as well. there were 4 in there about 1 hour ago and nothing will eat it. the only thing i can think about is i moved a plant over so there could be a very slim chance it went over with the plant. i cant tell because the tank is cloudy as the planting substrate has be disturbed.
