the one at gateshead received the same overhaul ---- huge improvement, they built a whole new level that covers about half of the entire shop, the staff also appear a lot more clued up, fish look healthy, i'm not sure what they did to cycle the tanks but they do appear to have a big turnover of stock.

Saying that i called into maidenhead aquatics near carlisle and it was brilliant - a very good selection of some stunning looking fish

The P@H in Bangor, North Wales is actually really decent these days They had their tanks changed last year I think, and the conditions have been so much better since. All the staff seem to know what they're talking about these days too, which is nice. The past few times I've been in I've heard them advising people what fish would be good for their size tanks, saying no, this fish will get too big, or this one is too aggressive, etc.
P@H in Bradford is muchly improved, but when I went in there last (bare in mind this was early last year), the staff didn't have much idea about anything. Better conditions for the fish though I guess. Same in Wrexham and Aberystwyth P@H's really, standards seemed a little lower than the one in Bangor.

But over all I'm much more impressed with their new set ups I agree that it would be fantastic if they stopped selling goldfish, or at least warned people about how big they will grow. Wishful thinking though I guess....

my local branch is great for dry goods food test kits etc its 1 of only 2 places round here that sell hikari cichlid pellets , but i wouldnt put 1 of their fish in my tank if you paid me .
