Looking for any reasonable advice for my 55 gal aquarium.... here is a little rundown of my set up AS IS.

marineland penguin 350 filter
powerhead

temp constant at 78 degrees
ph at a 7.4

decor is flagstone stacked to form caves
              carved rainbow stone
various live plants (broad leafed for lower lighting)

current stock is

   -10 neon tetras
  - 2 german blue rams
  - 2 swordtails one male one female
   - 3 syno jaguar catfish
    - 1 dwarf gourami

I am looking for any ideas to make an addition to this. this is my first aquarium so be nice!

i tried to upload a pic but unsure how. thanks a head of time

Id remove te synodontis, the gourami and the swordtails. Id go for an amazon style setup. Syno cats dont do well in low pH. Id suggest moar tetras and a smaller candy striped pleco or clown pleco

Thanks for the reply. I've had the cats in there for quite some time without a hick up. Relocating isn't much of an option at this point though

It is more or less. You could sell pr rehome them. They need medium alkaline water and tetras need somewhat acidic conditions. Its the best thing to do.
