Looking For Really Really Good Zombie Movies

Hey, I'm looking for some really really good (I mean gory and scary) zombie movies, anyone know any good ones?

So far I have Day of the Dead, and that's it.

Any others?

Simpsons & South Park Halloween Specials I thought they were pretty good.

You need to go back a few years to find zombie movies becaues they haven't been made for a few years. Maybe i should film myself in the morning when I first wake up. I look a lpt like a zombie

Dead Alive and Day of the Dead...

heck, just add all of George Romero's movies and make it a marathon!

Yeah, all the George Romeo movies rock.

Also, '24 Days Later' and '24 Weeks Later' are both very good too. They are really about the 'rage virus', but it's the same kind of thing.

My favourite of all time is 'Shaun of the Dead', which is really more of a spoof, but the zombies are actually pretty good. It's hilarious, watch "Dawn of the Dead" (original) first though, then you'll get the jokes.

The recent remake of Dawn of the Dead is very good btw, but watch the old one first .

Yup, Shaun of the Dead, that's such a classic movie!

I've seen parts of 28 Days Later, and it was pretty good, I kind of want to see 28 Weeks Later.

Well, I've got quite a list of movies so far, so a few more, and I'll be set!

If you can find it, watch Cemetery Man with Rupert Everett. I would be a fan of his, if he did more movies like that one; by far, his best.

Dead Alive

That is a hillarious movie.

Yes, George Romero's work is excellent. I believe you can still pick up a copy of "Night of the Living Dead" for about $5. That's what I did. Excellent movie. He has Diary of the Dead coming out this Tuesday (on DVD), I might have to check that out. But otherwise, there really aren't any good zombie movies that aren't by Romero.

I don't think you will find a better trilogy of zombie movies than the resident evil films,
especially when you watch them in one session

a great stand alone film is Zombie nation (2004)

Dawn of the dead and 28 days later are my favourite, resident evil and r.e apocalypse are good too (r.e apoc is better).The new R.e was pretty crap, with a few good scenes
The 1978 DOTD is really good, and funny.And the 1990 night of the living dead too, probably the best start in a zombie movie.

Not a zombie movie but if you want to watch one that will make you pee your pants....event horizon is really scary!!!

No, it was at a theatre near me about a month ago. It just didn't get a wide release.
