I've had this tank going for about 2 months now. I have 4 angelicus loach, 2 two golden gourami, and 1 blue ram. I'll be picking up a new blue ram as soon as I can find one. I bought this fish tank because I loved the one I had when I was a kid. It's only a 29 gallon tank but it's been a whole lot of fun. It's been a very healthy tank, I've had one illness but no deaths. It's filtered by a penguin 350. I have a yeast co2 system. I plan to upgrade to pressurized co2 soon. Before I upgrade the co2 I would like to change my regretful substrate. Underneath the gravel there is quite a bit of laterite. I would like to change my substrate to something plant friendly, and loach friendly. Do have any suggestions? what substrates have you had that you didn't care for?
Also, does anyone know what species that plant in the middle is? The bright green one in the background, not the small one.
