I seem to have a problem finding frogbit...the LFS's either don't have it or look at me as if I'm some kind of dribbling alien - 'frogbit?...ooh, I'd see a doctor about that, mate' or ' and which bit of the frog would sir like?' spring to mind...

So has anyone here some frogbit to sell? and any tips as to how best to keep it happy (if the fish don't eat it first)?
Someone also recommended riccia here, so has anyone any of that going? It seems all my LFS has is rooting plant stock which I don't particularly want...I am looking for something ideally to reduce light levels a little so floaters are the best bet...

I am putting catfish (hoplos and doras) and Thorichthys sp. in the tank...will they eat the frogbit? Its scarily expensive on ebay if you want a good spread of the stuff!

It spreads rapidly once established. I find that they don't do well getting pushed around by filters and their leaves rot if they get wet on top constantly. I have some fairly large healthy plants if you don't manage to get any

thanks for your offer - mattyeatsmatts is generously sending me some...if it looks lost and needing companionship I'll give you a shout! thanks for the tips as well..it will be away from the inlet pipe so should be happy!
