I know this should have been posted in the for sale/wanted section, but since it's specifically for plants, and for hard to come by plants, I'm thinking I'll have a greater chance of a 'hit' in this section.

Hi pseud i have Cyperus helferi not much good to you mate...sorry...i find it requires lots of CO2 and decent nitrate levels or it goes downhill pretty rapidly, im just wondering how well it would do in a setup with DIY CO2, its also prone to bba and black spot algae all associated with CO2 levels, worth a shot i suppose its a beautiful plant.

Anyway just my 2 cents.........

Thanks for the word of warning, it's welcomed. Yeah, from what I've seen it looks awesome and I really wanna try it out. But good to know how demanding it is, you could very well have saved me a heap of cash. I'll be weary about buying a large amount before trying it.

Got hold of some Cyperus Helferi. 5 plants for 14 dollars shipped. Not gonna break the bank if they don't do well.

In the mean time I've put my CO2 bottles in warm water with a heater. My condo can get pretty cold!
