I'm looking for a plant that will attach it's roots to rocks and grow to create an overhang for my caves.
I already have a good stock of java fern in the other corner of my tank so ideally i would like something else, so far i have a sweep of Anubias leading round to my rock caves with Samolus valerandi tucked into the middle so i want something that would look nice leading off after the Anubias up and over the rocks.

Any ideas? and if you do have an idea and know where i can get the plant from in the uk that would be great :D

you could try java moss...java moss, java fern and anubias are the only plants i know of that attach to rocks. i could be wrong though!

Would a floating plant do the job I wonder?

As for sourcing, well many garden centres have a selection of plants, fish and aquarium supplies so get the yellow pages and make some calls. I have also brought online through Java Plants (www.java-plants.com). There are others, but I have not used them.
