Looking At Getting Two Of These For My Tank

Sorry I can't remember the name of this cichlid but I really like the colors to them and there perfect for my water parameters, anyone have any info on them?

Hope you have a big tank..these frotosas grow to around 15" and will become extremely territorial especially if you only have two.
Just one needs a 70 gallon tank to itself, two would need over 100 gallons so they don't become aggressive towards eachother and can establish their own territory.

Right now I have a small 65 but I'm gathering the stuff to build me a 150gal so I will have lots of room, and I'm getting them while they are still real small so it would take years for them to grow I would suspect

What are your other tank mates? 150 gallon could do with being 6 foot. There bst kept in groups aswell. cheers

Always be careful with plans to buy small, in the right conditions most aquarium fish will grow rapidly within the first year or two, which is not usually the time frame that people are hoping to work to.

The tank will be empty if I get the chichlids so empty besides them, I'm also looking at getting some blue dolphin cichlids as well but feel that would be to much in the tank until I get my 150gal

Two years for me would be plenty of time, I already have all the wood for the stand I just need to get the glass or acrylic.

Glass glass glass! After a year or two you will be looking through a haze of tiny scratches on the acrylic, unless you or your fish never ever touch it ;-)
I even managed to scratch my glass tank within a month of getting it, I would be less than useless with acrylic lol!

Get the tank, then the "tank buster", things happen in life that scupper the best laid plans (of getting/making the big tank) and it is the fish that will suffer.
 
I have a Giraffe Catfish (hopefully Auchenoglanis tchadensis but it could easily be occidentallis), bought at ~5cm SL September 2012, now ~15cm SL and so is half adult size at best, growing up in a ~280l 4-footer.
I have an Ornate Bagrid Catfish (Chrisichthys ornatus) bought at ~4cm SL September 2012, now ~8cm SL so is a third adult size, growing up in a 140l 4-footer.
I have 5 "African Suckermouths" from the Euchilichthys group bought at ~10cm SL last September, now ~11cm SL and will reach ~20cm SL eventually, growing up in a ~300l 6-footer.
I have a Synodontis notata bought at ~22cm SL February 2012 which is now perhaps ~23cm SL, with only ~2cm of extra body length to go, again in the ~300l 6-footer.
 
But I have the 6-foot tank and an unoccupied 5x2x2 in the garage amongst my 8 tanks.
