I just thought that I'd say hi ("hi") and let you all know that at least in part due to this forum I'm hooked, and I'm going to try cichlids next My wife has ok'd my Christmas present, a second hand by good condition 5x2x2 (500+ litres) bay window tank and stand. It's all second hand, but it comes with a large otto filter, and a selection of fish. It all looks to be in good condition.

Anyway, I think I'm going to go with a group of smaller rift lakes cichlids. My LFS who I think is actually very good has a number of recomendations that we're going to work through.

Anyway, now I have some work ahead of me, like moving my existing tank, finding homes for the fish that are in it, finding rocks etc

You might be seeing some questions from me.

Welcome to the world of cichlids Dorsal. It's great if you have an LFS knowlegable on cichlids - it's a rare thing! You'll find this a great place to get second opinions. Good luck, that'll be one heck of a tank.
