i wish i had a more photogenic tank and some way of showing the size of the black common he really is a giant

I did have to look at the picture a few times. Couldn't work out if the picture was taken close up. Reason being is that there isn't many people who can house them properly at this size. Would love a full grown adult.

I often wonder where all the commons are when they get to this size, see plenty around 8-10 inches but not really any bigger than that. Well done.

i think a lot are destroyed in one way or another which is a shame

the only way i can describe the size is that the tank is 2ft tall and there is only a little of the tank out of the picture

(put it this way he is bigger than 2 dinner plates lol)

I remember years ago, when I was at school, or supposed to be at school, my friends Dad had this massive tank, it was around 5ft high, 15 ft long and 5ft wide. He had a adult plec and a red tailed cat in it. There was another fish in there but I cannot remember what it was. It was a beast of a tank and I was always in awe looking at the fish. I'd kept temperate fish before but always wanted tropicals after that. Commons are really nice fully grown.
