I wanted eye catching....they are EYE CATCHING!

Quick photos to show you them (just added 5 mins ago!). After MONTHS of research and preparations, my tank is sorted and they are here.

Only went for 4 in the end, rather than 6, as he only had 5 of these ones, and i figured i'd see how i got on with these for space etc.

My 2 parrots have spotted them in the tank and are terrified! Never seen them this scared haha

Better photos coming tomorrow once they have settled in and i have got my camera out

haha, well, i have 3 types (4 fish in total!). He explained the difference between them etc, but i am so confused! Here are photos of them in his tank. Photo 1 and 2 are of the same fish BTW

3&4 albino yellow crystal

Yeah, you can tell they're albino by the eyes
How much did they cost you?

I would have had my other 2 today, but havent ... gotta have to wait till next week

Yeh, he was wanting to thin out his tanks. Great guy!
I still cant work out the differences between them haha.
The breeding pair - albino yellow crystal and albino snake skin - were supposed to be £150, but got them for £120. They are about 6 inches in size
The golden leopard snake skin was £40 as it was 'small' at 5 inches
the final albino yellow crystal was £60 as he was a proven male that a bit bigger (6.5 inch i think)

So £220 for 4 large discus. Good deal? I am happy!

haha, my 2 second photos do not do it justice! All i can see in my tank now is discus!

If your only spotting the rock with has previously been named as the 'man sausage rock' i think you should wash out your mind

I too was feeling the same way when buying 50 cardinals! Now it does not seem so bad haha

Well dont judge me on them! With a dark aquarium and a quick snap shot, its the best i could do for now But the ones in his tanks (what i assume your referring to) were taken with my new £300 lens....which is going to be the best lens available for fishy photos! Time to get some great photos of discus hehe

Yeh its a shame that they are a breeding pair as that put the price up....which is wasted for me.

BUT, i was willing to pay as, as you can see from the phots, they are REALLY nice condition.

To be honest, i did not have one discus in mind, but when i saw these, i wanted them! He had a larger leapord one which he sold for £150 on its own.

How much are you paying for yours?

Is the red eye the only way you can tell they are albino? I am so confused - the two snake skins look so different. Yet the last one does not look so different from 3 and 4... arg

I don't really know the differences to be honest will see when i've got mine

I'm getting a yellow discus which is £45, which is cheap for a 5inch....i've seen them mmore expensive in other places
Also i'm getting a red marlboro, but it's a type more red than the usual ones, it looks like a cross between red panda, which i might get a proper 1 of, and red marlboro. I still don't know what to get for my last 2 discus to make it up to 8......i like the look of the japura green discus, but at the same time i would love another red discus

Will have to wait and see when they are here...
