I'd have to get it a filter.
Maybe get a setup that already includes one. Like the 5 gal hex that they sell at walmart. The hood includes a biowheel filter. It doesn't create a large current at all for the fish.
I'd also suggest getting him an airpump & stone to help oxygenate the water.
Or you could get a bubblefilter that will do that for you
We got one for 10dollars at Walmart for our 3 gal tank. Came with it's own airpump to run on. Alot cheaper than buying the pump on it's own.
