Loach Id

Yesterday I bought 6 Pygmy Stripe Loaches, however 1 of them seems to be a different species, which I need to identify. The mystery loach seems smaller than the rest, has different patterns and doesn't hang out with the other loaches, he hangs out with my pair of Rummynose Rasbora. I've only managed to tank 6 photos of him, he is extremely hard to photograph. Any help appreciated

Looks like a Flying Fox type of fish (Epalzeorhynchos spp). Maybe it is an Epalzeorhynchos kalopterus?

Thanks to both of you for your suggestions.
I have examined my mystery loach and your suggestions. And I have come to the conclusion it is not any of them.
I have a Flying Fox in my other tank and its definatly not that. The Acanthocobitis zonalternans is too long to be my mystery loach and spends most of its time on the bottom whereas mine swins mid level. I came across the Inle Loach and I think it may be one of those, can anyone confirm this?

Hmm, going on http/www.loaches.c...anilus%20brevis , the patterning does not look right for Inle Loaches, but having said that, you only got them yesterday and they may take a few days to settle in.

Note the spotty female, and the smaller male next to her, with the long black stripe, which IMO looks like the one I have, what do you think?

Your fish are rosy loach, which I think are currently just named as Yunanilus sp, the ones in the photo named Inle loach are yunanilus brevis, both species have become available recently

I should have clicked the extra pic link at loches.com, as indeed, males only have the blotchy upper body with the thickish black stripe on the flank!

Its all going to be what happens to the upper body it seems!

Edit: I see Mad Duff (a loach fanatic from seriously fish) has chirped in!

I'm struggling to find "Pygmy Stripe Loaches" info, full stop.
