Ive just measured the mystery loach and he is just under one and a half inches long, I read somewhere that Rosy Loaches get to 1 inch maximum?

Edit: I see Mad Duff (a loach fanatic from seriously fish) has chirped in!

I'm struggling to find "Pygmy Stripe Loaches" info, full stop.

My Pygmy Stripe Loaches are Y. cruciatus

One of the easiest ways of telling these and brevis apart is the angle of the base of the dorsal fin, both fish do have pattern/markings along the back but they are more intricate in brevis

I have come up with the conclusion that he/she is a Rosy Loach
Is this good news or bad news?

All the Yunanilus are lovely placid fish so good news

As with all loaches they do best in groups and in my experiance the rosy loaches will mix well with the cruciatus

Also one of my Y.Cruciatus has a massive tummy, dunno if shes gravid or fat or dropsy, will start a seperate topic on that though. Thanks for your help
