Hey guys and girls, currently I have quite a few plants in my tank. Theyre only basic plants and theyre doing "ok" but I also have a large amount of a green strand like algae, along with green dots all over my glass. I've read the solution to this algae is dosing the tank with excel. I read that excel is a liquid carbon, If I dose this daily, is there anything else I want to add to the tank (by way of nutrients) such as a liquid fert, if so which one is best. My lighting at the minute is standard rio 240 lighting without a reflector (but im thinking of adding one)

Pic of the tank, quite recent

As you can see it has 3 x echinodorus (1 of 1 species,2 of another) along with vallis, java moss and java fern, moss ball and anubias

Don't add a reflector unless you want to start injecting CO2, are you using the T5 lighting or the T8?&nbsp;<div><br></div><div>To get rid of the algae, drop the lighting to 6 hours a day, and increase flow, along with removing as much as you can.</div>
