Male platies and mollies in my experience get on fine when there are no females to fight for the right to chase in circles. Do not keep multiple male swordtails in a 12 gal. They will fight nonstop. I have seen swordtails fight until one was dead; the other died a few days later because nothing anybody did could grow back his fins and he couldn't swim.

if you don't want them to breed then why not get males? they are alot nicer lokking IMO

Unless they are Mollies. B ut the male's look nicer with teh sail. And platies, you cant tell the difference unless you look for the gonopudim(sp?).

Going back to the all male thing this will be fine and would be best, although male swords are scrappy you should be fine with 2-3
