Live Webcam Of Colossal Squid Dissection

They will be doing a live webcam broadcast of the thawing and examination of a colossal squid (bigger than a giant one). There are 4 webcams and they are running right now, but they appear to be setting up and getting ready. Thawing starts on the 27th(tomorrow),
4 giant squid will be examined on the 28th & 29th, and the colossal squid will be examined on the 30th. With dissection and lectures on the 1 & 2 of May. It is also being filmed by the Discovery channel and a show will be aired later this year.

Its very weird yet cool at the same time. I love webcams too! I always wonder if they know people are watching them . So far a bunch of people are walking around or standing and talking to each other, sometimes they all leave. Theres a guy filming them and a big wooded tank that I guess is the thawing tank. They should fill it with fish, it looks like it would make a good pond .

Holey SH!T!!! That's awesome!!!! I've always been interestd in "creatures of the deep" and totally watch discovery channel and other shows(when I can). This is AMAZING! Thanks for sharing it w/us!

Yeah like 6 hours ago I saw them bring it in. The webcams don't have sound, so things seem kinda creepy IMO. They cut the bag it was in open and a large crowd of people gathered around it. Three guys had large knifes, one was bald and he kept gesturing w/ his knife. I was expecting something to happen, like someone getting stabbed or the squid coming back to life , but then they all just left. I'm guessing it's after work hours now.

People are back, and according to the schedule today will be more thawing of the squid. I think the one on the cam right now is a giant squid. It looks squishier(sp) than it did yesterday.

Stuffs happening now. They brought a bunch of more bags out of the freezer, they look like more squids. They look heavy too.

It looks like they are starting to dissect the giant squids and I think you can see the super squid too. Those things could make a lot of calamari!

That one guy w/ the knife is back too.
