Little White Bugs

I moved the rear lids today and there was some algae on the brace bar with little white bits moving on the algae and jumping quite high from the water! Cant give a better description as I cant see them very well due to their size! Any ideas what they could be and where they are from?

Fleas? Dunno really, do you have dogs or cats? If they are jumping high then it probably is some sort of lice or flea. Correct me if i'm wrong... just a thought.

no other animals just fish! It doesn't seem to be a problem yet I'm just curious!

Are the bugs swimming around in the water? What sort of shape are they, are the long and worm-like, or do the look like beetles, or something similar? I'm trying help look for info.

Sorry for the ridiculous amount of replying i'm doing here, but by the sound of it they are little parasites of some sort, and probably won't do you fish much good, I would try to get rid of them if I were you.+

It has an oval shaped body I am sure I counted 6 legs. They stay on the water not swimming around the tank! They jump from the water to the brace bar! They only stay on the bit of algae not the rest of the plastic! Il try to get a pic but they are tiny!

They are most probably collembolas (or springtails), i had these in my old tank. I think i got them from some frozen blood worm, they are heamless by all accounts, but they are a pain and un-sightly. I just stopped using that brand and swapped it to another brand. I also got a pair of tights and swooped the top of the water, you won't get them all, but after a few weeks they went. I carried on the tight sweep (i have copyrighted, the tight sweep ) over the period of 2/3 weeks.

Sweet if thats what it is I changed my brand of frozen bloodworm about 6-7 weeks ago! How much do I owe in royalties for the tight sweep? lol
