I'm keeping and breeding Teddy tigers for years. It's a species that not everyone can keep well. They do fine in the higher level of soft water and harder. They can be shy when kept with other fish (no matter if they're friendly or not). They're superfetative. Best to keep them between 20°C-26°C. Higher for a longer period will kill them off. Same goes if kept lower for a longer period than the minimum temperature I've already mentioned. They love hiding spots. So, a well planted tank would be prerferable.
The water flow should not be too high. For that will make them hide more.

Also in this species, both early, normal and late males will occur. Typical is that more males will be born than females.
