So i have my new tank rios 180 101x51x40 cm(second hand) it comes with one Marine white light and the blue one are these ok for tropical fish or do i have to go and buy new ones ?

If i need new ones i'll be selling 6 x 30" tubes (there's lots of spares)

please someone tell me they are ok then i wont have to pay anymore money out lol

i asked my friend this as i have 30w lights for my tropical tank (came with it) and he said they would be fine!

if i he's wrong (and i am) then i wil change them before i put fish in...!

thanks millie

hopefully someone else will answer aswell and then we'll both know for definate :)

It should be okay although some freshwater fish do better if they don't have really excessive lighting, maybe don't use all the bulbs or you could buy another low watt tube (not very expensive just don't buy at lfs)

Wait for 3rd opinion lol.
